Kamchatka Regional Museum of Local Lore

The Kamchatka Regional United Museum, whose history began in 1911, is often called the main, leading museum of the Kamchatka Territory. In the village of Milkovo there is a department of the regional museum.

Having more than a century of experience, the museum does not let you forget about its past, tells about the main milestones in the history of the Kamchatka Territory. Here are unique exhibits, through which you get knowledge about all areas of life in the region.

In its content, the united museum is considered a historical and local history. Its main content is the coverage of all aspects of the life of the Kamchatka Territory.

There is a permanent exhibition for visitors created in 1990. It includes the following sections: nature, ancient history of Kamchatka, history of discovery, development and study of the region, history of the city. Petropavlovsk up to the beginning of the twentieth century, the material culture of the indigenous peoples of Kamchatka.

In addition to the permanent exposition, temporary exhibitions on various topics are created in the three exhibition halls.
