Petrovsky Museum of Local Lore was founded on March 18, 1923. To date, it has retained its original profile - local lore. He is the owner of a good art collection, including manor painting. The collections of the museum preserve the history of the city - a guard outpost of a remote suburb, a fortress founded by decree of Peter the Great, a merchant town of past centuries, which turned into a small economic center with developing crafts, and now - the center of an agricultural area. The collections keep the memory of Peter I and Alexander II, E. Pugachev and V.N. Figner, writers I.I. Vvedensky and F.V. Gladkov, Hero of the Soviet Union I.V.
