After lunch, we sit in tents and relax.

Free time. Dinner.

Day 3 - Wednesday

The third day of rest begins as usual - waking up and breakfast.

Today we are waiting for a long journey on Lake Sandal – on the island of Lychny.

The island is famous for unique monuments of wooden architecture (buildings of the 17th century). The Church of the Apostles Peter and Paul of 1620 is especially distinguished. The first mention of it dates back to the 16th century. The church is a twin of the Assumption Church in Kondopoga and is executed in the best traditions of northern architecture. As on the famous island of Kizhi, the center of Karelian culture was located here. Today, no one lives on the island, only avid summer residents and a rare tourist peek in the summer. Water travel will bring a lot of pleasure to lovers of untouched nature.

On the way to the island, we will definitely raft along the thresholds of the Tivdia River.

International kayaker competitions are held annually on the thresholds of the Tivdia River. The river wave is ideal for freestyle on rough water. We won't be left out either.

In the evening we go back to camp and have dinner.

For an additional fee - a bath (100 rubles / person).

Day 4 - Thursday

Wake up, have breakfast and go on an unusual journey.

We load with equipment in a jeep and drive (3 km.) through the forest to Lake Lizhmozero. There we sit in the raft and under the motor go through the picturesque places to the island of Maly. Stunning views of Karelian nature on the way will make you take a lot of fascinating photos!

We land on the island and take a walk to the cult grove, in which the abandoned chapel of Archangel Michael is cozy on the shore of the lake - a classic wooden building of the northern school of wooden architecture.

After walking to the chapel, we set up camp. Don't forget to have lunch and dinner.

Overnight in tents on the island.

Day 5 - Friday

Breakfast, packing and returning to base camp.

Lunch and dinner at camp.

Day 6 - Saturday

How well you sleep in tents in the fresh air! After that, the breakfast tastes better.

Today is a day of calm and unhurried rest. This is a great opportunity to get acquainted with the surroundings, swim, sunbathe or ride rafts. Your appetite will not let you forget about lunch and dinner. For an additional fee - a bath - 100 rubles / person.

Day 7 - Sunday

Well, here comes the final day of rest in Karelia.

Breakfast, take the bus and say goodbye to our camp and instructors. There's a busy program ahead.

Have you ever seen a real Paleovolcano? Now we'll see. It is located near the village of Girvas. Follow the guide on the ancient (more than 2 billion years) frozen rock and learn a lot of interesting things. Don't forget to take pictures.

After a walk through the volcano, we will visit the Federal Reserve. Here in its heart is the famous waterfall Kivach. The most unforgettable photos tourists bring from here.

We look at the waterfall and take pictures. You also have the opportunity to walk around the reserve, see rare tree species, including the famous Karelian birch, and visit the nature museum.

Well, the final point of our trip is the Assumption Church in Kondopoga - a unique architectural structure, one of the most worthy monuments of northern wooden architecture. It rises above the waters of Lake Onega for 42 meters, being a kind of beacon for travelers. Impressive slender lines, some airy outlines of the church, especially considering that it was built without a single nail.

Upon completion of the excursion program, we go to Petrozavodsk at the railway station by 18.00.

All good things come to an end. Your vacation in Karelia has also come to an end. We hope that he brought you a lot of positive emotions and impressions, and also charged you with energy for new achievements. We are looking forward to seeing you in Karelia again!
