Kivach waterfall, ancient volcano Girvas, Mount Sampo and resort Marcial waters

Karelian nature has created amazing monuments – rocks, waterfalls, volcanoes, springs. The most important of them, located in Karelia, we offer to visit in a one-day excursion "Golden Ring of Karelia".

The tour begins from the Sampo Mountain. It was here that the legendary Soviet fairy tale film “Sampo” was shot, created based on the Karelo-Finnish epic “Kalevala”. Karelian rocks are unique – they are surprisingly harmonious and beautiful. And the view is amazing. From Mount Sampo offers a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding area.

But we are already going to Marcial Waters, the very first Russian resort. Tsar Peter, who founded it, visited these regions four times and advised everyone to drink iron-saturated water found in local springs for health. By the way, only here is preserved the church of the XVIII century, built according to the sketches of Peter himself. You can see everything with your own eyes, drink healing water and take it with you.

And here is the ancient volcano Girvas - a unique in its beauty natural object. Imagine that he lived more than a billion and a half years ago. There are frozen lava, and rocks, and sand dunes, and dense pine borons. If you are lucky, you will get to the descent of water from the reservoir and see a stunning sight - Girvas Falls.

Brother Girvas - another natural masterpiece waterfall "Kivach" This is the most famous waterfall of Karelia, sung by the first governor of our region, the Russian poet Gavrila Derzhavin: "Diamond rains down a mountain..." The water that is falling and its power is enchanting. Everyone should see that.

Pay attention! In the period from December 1 to March 1, the ancient volcano Girvas is not possible to see (short daylight + snow). Instead, we visit the Shungit Museum Center. The rest of the year we visit the Girvas volcano without going to the center of Shungit.

9:00, rotunda on the embankment of Petrozavodsk (Eremeeva, 1). The bus will be between the rotunda on the embankment and the pink registry office building 10 minutes before departure.

• 13:45 - Lunch in the cafe after Girvas (in the summer season if there are more than 2 buses in the parking lot of the cafe, we will pass the cafe, because the queue will take about 1 hour, and it is the only one on the route). Tea/coffee/cakes on display are offered for food
• 14:45 - Kivach Falls, 17:00 - Arrival in Petrozavodsk
