The Golden Ring of Karelia

On the way from Petrozavodsk in an interesting and fascinating form with visual materials I will tell about the history of Karelia: from ancient volcanoes to the present day, reveal the secrets and highlights of our republic, answer any questions. You will learn about ancient volcanoes, glaciers and Sami, the first inhabitants of our lands.

We will be waiting for the most striking sights near Petrozavodsk: we will look at the modern art object Valley of the Hares and climb the magical mountain Sampo, where I will tell more about the Karelians and explain the difference between Karelian and Finnish. We will learn with you about the epic Kalevala, who are Väinemeinen, Ilmarinen and Lemminkäinen, and also spin the magic mill Sampo and make a wish.

On the way, you will learn the difference between Karelian and Finnish, who are Veps and what the republic lives in our days. Then we will taste mineral water from three springs of the first Russian resort Martialnye Vody, which was founded by Peter I. In practice, we will understand why he came here as many as 4 times. During the walking walk we will also see the Church of St. Peter and look at the souvenir shop.

For an additional fee (1500 rubles, 35 km) we can ride to the territory of the ancient Paleovolcano "Girvas", which is more than 2 billion years old and arrange a photo shoot next to the ancient frozen lava!

The pearl of our trip will be one of the oldest reserves of Russia Kivach, where we will be impressed by the second largest plain waterfall in Europe, look at the Nature Museum and see the live Karelian birch on the territory of the Arboretum.

On the way back, we will listen to Karelian music, watch Karelian films, guess Karelian mysteries and return to the capital of Karelia, where we will visit the Shungit Center Museum. You will learn about its properties and can choose gifts from shungite for every taste.
