Description:
It was formed in 1917 from the oldest private gardens of Petrozavodsk: the garden of the mountain chief (late XVIII century) and the governor's garden (1840s). Since 1923 - the garden of the Oblastcom, later the park of Metalists, since the 30s - the Park of Pioneers. Until 1985, when the Palace of Creativity of Children and Youth was built, it was a children's recreation complex. Renovated in 2003, for the 300th anniversary of the city.
