Description:

The quarry is a freshwater lake in the southern part of the city of Petrozavodsk in the south of the Republic of Karelia. The lake is located within the city of the regional center between the Klyuchevaya and Zareka districts. Its area is about one and a half kilometers, the average depth is 2.3 meters. The banks are mostly steep, sometimes rocky, there is one sand spit.

Previously, on the site of the lake was a quarry, which was formed by mining stone and rubble by explosive means.
