Presentation and exhibition hall of the Kizhi Museum-Reserve
Rep. Karelia, Petrozavodsk, Kirov Square, 10A
About the company:
Opened on August 20, 1895, the building originally belonged to the Petrozavodsk Crafts School. In 2000, by the decree of the Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Karelia, a dilapidated monument building in the center of Petrozavodsk was transferred to the museum, which for a long time was not used by anyone. For its restoration required considerable funds, and the museum appealed to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin with a request to allocate funds for this object. The idea of creating a modern presentation and exhibition center was supported, and in September 2000 funds were allocated from the reserve fund of the President.
Throughout the year, exhibitions dedicated to the historical and cultural heritage of the region are exhibited in the exhibition hall of the Kizhi Museum-Reserve. Exhibitions change several times a year. The presentation and exhibition center has two halls and a museum shop. He actively cooperates with creative organizations, educational institutions and individual artists. There is Wi-Fi in the exhibition hall. The small hall is equipped for conferences, master classes, creative meetings.
