Monument to Podol cadets

Russia, Moscow, Domodedovo, Stupino, Voskresensk.

Description:

The monument to the Podolsk cadets was erected in honor of the consolidated detachments, which in October 1941, together with the 43rd Army, defended the southwestern border of Moscow. Young Podolsk cadets killed almost 5 thousand German soldiers, destroyed 100 tanks, losing 2,500 of their soldiers. Through their actions, they have bought time for Moscow to tighten its reserves.

The monument to the Podolsk cadets was opened on May 7, 1975 at the intersection of Warsaw Highway, Park Street and Archive Passage. The monument itself is made of stainless steel in the form of a figure of cadets with a banner and automata at the chest. On the back there is a diagram of the fighting of Podol cadets, on the right there is a concrete wall with a memorable inscription.
