Voronovo Manor

Podolsky district, Moscow region, about 35 km from the Moscow Ring Road along the Starokaluga highway.

Description:

The estate of Voronovo is located in the Podolsky district of the Moscow region. The estate arose at the turn of the XVI-XVII centuries. With the then owner of the estate, I.I. Vorontsov, a luxurious estate complex appeared on the project of architect K.I. Blanc. His son, A.I. Vorontsov, to whom the estate passed after the death of his father, rebuilt a magnificent manor house designed by architect N.A. Lvov. This house was burned down by its next owner, F.V. Rastopchin, in 1812, so that the house did not go to the French.

Nowadays, the Spasskaya Church, the manor house, the pavilion "Dutch House", the bell tower, the equestrian yard tower, the pond and the park have been preserved from the estate. The Savior Church was built in 1763 in the Baroque style. In the church there is a tomb of the Vorontsov family. In Soviet times, the church was not closed, it is now active. The bell tower, which appeared in the XIX century, was restored in the 2000s. The manor house after the fire was repeatedly rebuilt: it was overhauled in 1849, as a result of which it finally lost its original appearance, in 1858, when its owners were Sheremetev, the house was rebuilt in the neo-Baroque style. The equestrian courtyard was rebuilt in the XIX century, now only the round tower has survived from it.

Nowadays there is a rest house in the estate. Only the Savior Church is available for free visit.
