Porkhov Museum of the History of the Territory

The exhibition “Estates of Porkhov district” is opened in the Exhibition Hall, an ethnographic exhibition is held in the House of Crafts. Excursion objects of the museum are:

1. Border fortress of the Novgorod Republic of XIV-XVI centuries. The expositions are open in the fortress: “History of the city of Porkhov”, “Porkhov Territory during the Great Patriotic War”.

2. Volyshovo, the former estate of the Stroganovs of the XYIII-XIX centuries. (count's house, stables, kennels, courtyards, arena, park area);

3. Holomki - Belskoye Ustje, the former estates of the Gagarins and Vasilchikovs (the lord's house, outbuildings, park area, the Church of the Ascension of the Lord XYIII century); Nikandrov Desert (monastery buildings, springs, chapel; tomb of St. Nikander);

4. The reconstructed Malakhov Partisan Camp, which is an open-air museum with an interactive complex (guerrilla observation post, dugouts, dining room and bath);

5. The original route “Health Path – medicinal herbs” was developed.
