Sebezhsky district for the Pskov region is unique: it borders immediately with two states - in the west - with the Republic of Latvia, in the south - with Belarus. Therefore, in Sebezh, which was once part of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and Poland, so intertwined historical names and events: this land is closely connected with Peter I, Ivan Bunin, here passed the famous path “From the Varangians to the Greeks”. Sebezh is the birthplace of the People's Artist of the USSR Zinovy Gerda, the memory of which is carefully preserved by his countrymen.

The city stands within the boundaries of the national park, in the middle of lakes Sebezhskoye and Orno, so it is often called the lake capital of the Pskov region. The tranquility, European dimension and comfort of these places border on picturesque landscapes and fascinating landscapes, which you will certainly appreciate on this trip.

As part of the tour, you will learn why the city is called the Venice of Pskov, explore the preserved medieval architectural monuments of Sebezh and get acquainted with the finds of archaeologists. And from the bell tower of the Christmas Church you will have a wonderful view of the whole city.

Another attraction of this region is the Manor Orekhovo. This is the first and only European garden in Russia, which, despite its private status, is open to visitors. Its creator is the winner of the prestigious European Garden Award – landscape architect Alexander Grivko. Here he spent his childhood, and years later he returned to the Pskov land to create a small castle of incredible beauty park with elegant fountains, flower beds and alleys, arbors and grottoes. And all this in memory of his mother, who instilled in him a love for nature and its beauty. A special admiration is the greenhouse of the XIX century, brought to Orekhovo from France. This place amazes with its beauty, because it is so attractive not only for tourists, but also for photographers. Everyone who has visited the Orekhovo Estate has not only pleasant memories, but also wonderful photos of these amazing places.

PROGRAMME:

07:00 – gathering of the group on Lenin Square. Departure to Sebezh.

07:30 – 11:00 – transfer to the estate “Orekhovno” (210 km)

11:00 – 13:00 – arrival at the Orekhovo estate. Tour of the manor park.

13:00 – departure to Sebezh (85 km).

14:30 – 15:30 – lunch in the city center.

15:30 – Sightseeing tour of the city of Sebezh.

18:00 – departure to Pskov.

After 21:00 – return to Pskov
