Individual eco-excursion to Polistovsky Reserve
Description:
On the border of the Pskov and Novgorod lands on the left bank of the river Lovya, a unique, little-known corner of nature with the ancient Russian sonorous name Rdeisko-Polistovsky Krai has been preserved. There are plenty of swamps in our region, but the largest is the Rdeisko-Polistovsky swamp massif. Back in 1973, the Polistovo-Lovatskaya bog system was included in the list of protected marshes of the international project "Telma" due to the fact that this marsh system is one of the largest and most valuable in Europe. This reserve is one of the first in Russia, the purpose of which is to preserve the marsh system in its original form.
The ecological trail "Plavnitsky swamp" is the visiting card of the reserve, it is a trip to the edge of the marsh system. The route passes through different types of swamp - lowland, transitional and riding. On the way, you will have to bypass the beaver hut, note where the woodpecker arrives to feed, and where he arranged a “balcony” with a “cornice”, see the real “witch broom” and the mark that the bear left on the tree.
By the way, if you have never drunk from the swamp and have not rested on the shift trampoline - you will have the opportunity to do this on an excursion, and thrill-seekers will walk on all-terrain vehicles before the start of the route.
