After all, cabinet and sofa historians still break spears, arguing, for example, about how many Livonian knights went under the ice of Lake Peipus under the weight of armor and wonder why these piles of metal no one has yet found. By the way, there is an opinion that Prince Alexander Nevsky defeated the dogs-knights on land, and not at all on the April shaky ice. And some do not believe in the Ice Battle and consider it an invention of filmmakers.
Where to find the truth? Of course, on the shore of Lake Peipus – in the village of Samolva, where the world’s only museum of the Ice Battle is located. Museum dedicated to the results of a comprehensive expedition of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR under the leadership of associate professor, candidate of military sciences, retired major-general Georgy Nikolaevich Karaev to clarify the battleground of the Ice Battle.
