White Lake

The lake itself is small. Its area is 0.33 square kilometers. And it is not deep at all, although in some places there are places where up to four meters. But mostly knee-deep water.

In White originates the river Kalininka. And around the reservoir there are two villages - Karelovshchyna and Dekhino. Once there was a third village - White, but only a tract remained.

The shores of the lake are sloping, there are also steep places. There are meadows and forests on the territory. Tourists often come here to rest.

As for the history of the lake, it has existed for a long time. When the water appeared exactly no one knows. One thing is known that they began to talk about it from the XVI century. There is evidence that White was the private property of many famous people. On the shore of the reservoir lived the Potemkin family. The land was inherited for a long time.
