The Church of Nativity and the Protection of the Most Holy Mother of God from the Fault
Description:
The Church of Nativity and the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God began its existence at the Intercession Monastery. The exact date of the foundation of the compound remains unknown, but the first mention of it is found in a source in 1465.
The Church of Nativity and the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God are two temples that have a common wall. They are similar in appearance, single-headed, with high vaults. Later, a stone cross appeared in front of the church, located on a stone. It is a reminder of the events of 1581.
There are many legends about the origin of the temple. Once the Pskov military managed to win, they repulsed the enemies. Before the tragic events, Elder Dorotheus was sent a vision from the Virgin herself. Therefore, they made an extension to the Intercession, already in honor of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God.
You can get to the shrine by taxi or bus (stop "Victory Square").
