The Clock Tower and the Great Gate
Description:
The Clock Tower and the Great Pskov Gate are among the oldest defense structures of ancient Pskov. The main tower is located at a breach in the wall above the Pskov River, near the main gate of Krom.
The Clock Tower and the Great Gate were rebuilt in 1988. It is currently maintained and monitored for dents and cracks inside and outside.
Many tourists come here to admire the view from ancient buildings and the icon of the Holy Trinity, which has gained great popularity. The icon consists of a mosaic made by ancient traditional methods.
The Great Gate and the Clock Tower of the city of Pskov can be reached on foot from the center or by bus to Trade Union Street.
