Lime Park in the Tukhovik estate in the city of Pskov

from Pskov by car 46 minutes on Highway street

Description:

Some elements of the Tukhovik estate, which was once owned by the composer Yakhontov, in which Derzhavin and Pushkin visited, have sunk into oblivion. Researchers on paper have managed to restore its original appearance. However, the park has preserved its historical borders in almost original form.

The estate is still located on the right bank of the ancient Great River, still surrounded by this huge park, whose area reaches 16 hectares. The creators of the park used elements of landscape style: winding lines of the pond and free forms of landscape groups. The side of the estate, which stretches along the coastline, is emphasized by a wide alley of centuries-old lindens.

Previously, the park and the estate were located in the center of the estate, and the rest of the territory was planted with a fruit garden. Nearby was a greenhouse, and behind it another small park with a zigzag-shaped pond. Further parallel to the remains of the family crypt is a shady lime alley. The oldest linden is 160 years old.
