Description:
33 kilometers from the city of Pechora there is Lake Velje. It is small compared to others, 1.8 square kilometers or 180.0 hectares. Its depth is 1.5 meters (maximum depth is 3 meters). Nearby, on the northeast coast, there is a recreation center and the village of Velle. Like many Pskov lakes, Velje is rich in fish, mainly bream, roach, glue, sometimes there are perch, pike, karas. The shores are mostly flat, swampy. A mixed forest grows around the lake.
