Ostrich Manor

Pushkin Mountains, st. West, 34

Description:

The ostrich farm appeared in the Mikhailovsky Museum-Reserve in 2006. To the pleasant surprise of its creators, despite its young age, the farm is very popular with tourists and residents of the Pushkin Mountains.

This place has already included many travel agencies in their routes. It is not surprising - after all, a date with birds and animals that grumble, tweet and greet each visitor with a friendly flap of a wing or tail will not leave anyone indifferent.

An ostrich farm or estate, this park was dubbed by locals. It was originally called the Argus Ecopark and later became the Zoograd. According to its owners, they decided to change the name due to the expansion of the territory and replenishment of pet species. When the park opened, it occupied one hectare of land. Now two more hectares are being developed.

Here you can get acquainted with a hundred different species and breeds of birds and animals. On the zoo, it is important to walk turkeys, ducks, geese. There are familiar ones, sheep, deer, pigs. Here live moose and pheasants, Chun's boar and, of course, ostriches. An old-timer zoo is considered an emu named Kuzya. Some of the inhabitants of the zoo can be fed or petted - they are tame and do not fear a person.

Many pets of the ecopark are heroes of Pushkin’s works. In fact, they were selected for these reasons.

Zoograd works in the summer from 10.00 to 20.00, and in the winter - from 11.00 to 18.00. A ticket for adults costs one hundred rubles, and children from 5 to 15 years will cost half as much.
