The Assumption Cathedral is one of the most famous temples in Russia. In all its history, it has never closed.
In the main aisle of the Assumption Cathedral there are two venerated lists from the miraculous Pskov-Pechersk icon of the Mother of God “Tenderance”, which, like the image of the Assumption of the Most Holy Theotokos, revealed many miracles. Pilgrims come to the monastery from different cities and even countries. Sometimes parishioners become so many that the walls of the cathedral do not accommodate everyone, then the celebrations are held in the open air.
It is most convenient to get to the cathedral by car, the distance from Pskov to it is about 50 km.
