Memorial Museum-Reserve of N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov
Pskov region., Vechasha village, Plussky district.
About the company:
One of the two parts of the memorial museum-estate of N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov is the former estate of Vechash. The place with which the life and work of N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov are inextricably linked. The house was restored in its original form.
The composer’s family rented the estate of Vechash as a dacha for six summer seasons, starting in 1894. Here the composer wrote operas: “Sadko”, “The Night Before Christmas”, “The Tale of Tsar Saltan” and others.
Every year, the museum holds the day of memory of N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov, where creative groups, musicians and works of the composer are performed. There is an exposition “Nature in the work of N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov” (Vechash).
