Museum-apartment of V.I. Lenin

Pskov region, Pskov, Lenin Street, 3

About the company:

The museum is located in the apartment house of merchant P. Chernov on the former Arkhangelskaya Street (now Lenin Street, 3), on the third floor in the apartment of pharmacist K.V. Luria. Here in 1900 Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov (Lenin) rented a room.

The Memorial Museum was opened on January 22, 1930. To the 100th anniversary of the birth of Lenin (in 1970), the layout of the apartment was restored. The exposition was supplemented with household items, real things of the Ulyanov family, such as, for example, an old travel chest from Lenin’s apartment in the Kremlin.

Since 2001, the museum began to show the life of the Pskov province and Pskov k. XIX - early XX century. with the help of new exhibits and exhibitions.

Room 1. The socio-economic situation of the Pskov province on the eve of V.I. Lenin’s arrival in Pskov (1900) is shown. Visitors will see flax processing tools, linen fiber products.

Room 2. The presented exhibits tell about the stay of V.I. Lenin in exile in the Siberian village of Shushenskoye and his intention to elect after its completion the city of Pskov for residence. This is evidenced by Lenin’s autograph of a letter to A.N. Potresov: “I dream of Pskov.”

Room 3. It opens with a photographic portrait of Lenin in 1900 and photographs of old Pskov. This was how V.I. Lenin saw his house, the streets, when he came to the city on March 10 (in the new style), 1900.

Here is a copy of the “Draft statement of the editorial office of Iskra and Zarya”, written in this apartment.
