Memorial House-Museum of V.I. Chapaev

The Memorial House-Museum of V.I. Chapayev was founded on February 23, 1939. Previously, the house belonged to the merchant Volkovoynova and the mill manager lived in this house. Then, from January to November 1918, V.I. Chapaev lived here with his family. The exposition of the museum tells about the life and combat activities of the national commander and his combat associates. On February 23, 1999 the museum turned 60 years old. The founder is an enthusiastic local historian K.I. Zhuravlev (Museum of Local Lore).
