Pushkin

THE BRILLIANT GUNNER

Description:

An exciting trip to the city of Pushkin is one of the nearest suburbs of St. Petersburg, which was originally formed as the second summer country residence of Russian emperors "Tsarskoye Selo". The history of the residence goes back centuries, but it began with the gift of Peter 1 to his second wife Martha Skavronskaya, who later became Empress Catherine 1 of Russia. For 100 years since its foundation in 1710, the residence has turned into a beautiful palace and park ensemble and even received the status of a city. But in 1917 the history of the Tsarskoye village as an imperial residence ended and the history of the Soviet museum began. The ensemble is included in the UNESCO list of cultural heritage.
