Museum of the Higher Naval Engineering Institute (Pushkin)
st. Petersburg, Pushkin, Cadet Reserve, 1
About the company:
The museum opened on May 9, 1964. The exposition of the museum includes documents and materials characterizing the stages of creation, formation and development of the school (now VMII). On the basis of the museum, jubilee meetings of past graduates are constantly held; first-year cadets necessarily visit the museum of the institute. The museum collects materials about the service of graduates, reflects on the stands and in the windows of the museum all the latest events taking place at the institute (graduation, taking the oath, military-historical trips, boat trips, etc.).
On the territory of the town of VMII in Pushkin, the buildings were preserved, where in the XIX century the life guards hussar regiment (in which M.Y. Lermontov served) and the Alexander Cadet Corps were located. On the basis of the VMII Museum, classes are held with cadets on military history and military pedagogy and psychology.
