Pyatigorsk is a historical city of the country, the cultural center of the Caucasian Mineral Waters and the largest balneological resort in Russia. You will see bath buildings, drinking galleries, old cottages, among which there are masterpieces of architecture. The history of the city is closely connected with the names of the famous A.S. Pushkin, L.N. Tolstoy, V. Mayakovsky and many other poets and writers who received a source of inspiration in the Caucasus for writing literary works. But most often Pyatigorsk is associated with the city of M.Y. Lermontov. You will see the famous Lake Proval, walk along the Hot Mountain to the sculpture “Eagle pecking a snake”, which has recently become a symbol of KMV.
