Inspired Pyatigorsk
Description:
Pyatigorsk is the oldest and perhaps the most atmospheric resort in the Caucasian Mineral Waters. There are many architectural monuments that have been preserved here for almost two centuries. The poet Dmitry Oznobishin said of Pyatigorsk: “Here every step is a living letter.” And the resort town is often compared to an open-air museum.
The city is also inextricably linked with the name of Mikhail Lermontov. Along the paths of the resort parks, the poet walked with Muse, who inspired him to sing “the edge of the blue mountains”. In the novel “Hero of our time” he vividly described the then “water society”, and at the foot of Mount Mashuk tragically ended the short life of the genius of Russian literature. There were other bright representatives of the national culture.
Pyatigorsk is located in an amazingly beautiful place. From numerous observation decks, you can endlessly admire the panorama of nearby laccolith mountains, snow-covered peaks of the Main Caucasus Range and a two-headed handsome man - Elbrus.
And finally, the resort boasts an exceptional variety of mineral springs, giving people vitality and health.
