Ecological and Ethnographic Museum
About the company:
The Ecological and Ethnoraphic Museum was registered on October 24, 2000. Until then, the museum existed under the name "Oil Territory - My Fate" and was opened in 1989 at the House of Pioneers. The initiator of the museum was Gennady Rudolfovich Volkov (died in 1999) a teacher, enthusiast of local history. A small exposition of the museum contained an ethnographic section - the national clothes of the Khanty and Nenets, household utensils, devices for hunting and fishing. Materials on the work of the fishing artel pos were presented. Variegan 40-50, photos of N. Starovartovsky, illustrating the life of the Nenets and Khanty. In 1991, the museum was transferred to the Children's Career Guidance Center at the Neftyanik DK. The head of the center was appointed G. R. Volkov. The center and the museum were located in a rebuilt 4-room apartment on the first floor of a residential building. In 1992, the children's ethnographic club "Tyngur-Iki" was created at the center under the leadership of N. M. Krauzova.
With the creation of the museum as a municipal cultural institution, a new stage in the development of museum business in the city begins. The main task of a small team is the transition from a museum on a voluntary basis to a professional museum. The history of the North of Western Siberia, the material and spiritual culture of the indigenous population, nature - all this serves as a source for study. The creation of the museum in Rainbow is also dictated by the desire to preserve the historical and cultural heritage of all nationalities living in it. The work of the first builders of the city should not be forgotten. In the future, it is planned to move the museum to a detached building, where the Yuuda exposition dedicated to the nature and history of the region is deployed.
