Ramenskoye

Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God

Communist street, 35, Ramenskoye, Moscow region

Description:

June 14, 1998 there was a solemn laying of the first stone for the construction of the Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.

However, due to financial difficulties, a wooden church was first built in honor of the holy righteous Matrona of Moscow. Also in the temple there is a throne named after St. Nicholas. A separate bell tower with ten bells was built. The chapel of the Most Holy Seraphim of Sarov was also rebuilt, and it houses the holy spring and font.

In the temple there is a Sunday school for children from 7 to 14 years. There is also a preschool development group “Luchik” (it prepares children for school), and an early development group “Firefly” has been opened.

A pilgrimage service is organized at the church and a monthly newspaper is issued.

In the temple are kept the relics of the blessed Matrona of Moscow and the holy Optina elders.
