Ramenskoye

Bykovo Manor

Russia, Moscow region, Ramena district, bus to the city of Zhukovsky to the stop "Kerosene shop"

Description:

The Bykovo estate, located in the Ramenskoye district of the Moscow region, is truly a palace in the style of real English castles, a beautiful park, a Bazhenov rotunda in the park and an ancient church. The estate was founded in the last quarter of the XVIII century by the former Governor-General of Moscow - M.M. Izmailov. He was an influential nobleman under Catherine II.

The Vladimir Church in the estate simply admires its beauty and elegance. The church has survived to our times. It is two-storey, white-stone, in the style of Russian Gothic (or pseudo-Gothic). The Vladimir Church justly has no worthy analogues in the temple architecture of the Moscow region. The house offers a magnificent view of the valley of the Moscow river and the surroundings around the estate.

Today, the estate is in poor condition and needs restoration.
