Excursion to Valaam from Sortavala
Description:
- Landing on the "Meteor" (a hydrofoil boat) at the pier in Sortavala.
- Flight departure.
- Transition on Lake Ladoga (50 minutes).

- Sightseeing tour of the central estate of Valaam Spaso-Preobrazhensky men's monastery.

During the tour, visit the main active temple of the monastery - the Transfiguration Cathedral, where the relics of the holy founders of the monastery - St. Sergius and Herman Valaam Wonderworkers are located. Inspection of the Assumption Refectory Church (the oldest preserved on Valaam, the Church of the Valaam Icon of the Mother of God, cell buildings and outbuildings, the Old Brotherly Cemetery).

Visiting the Sunday Skete. Further along the forest road, walk to the Gethsemane skete with a wooden church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin. The tour ends on the Mount of Olives, where one of the most poetic views of Ladoga opens.
