Dog Sledding in Karelia
Description:
- Meeting guests in the sled dog nursery.
The nursery is located in the village of Matrosy (32 km from Petrozavodsk).
Excursion and acquaintance with real Arctic sled dogs, veterans of the expedition to the North Pole.
- You can take pictures with sled dogs of different breeds: Siberian Husky, Alaskan Malamute, Taimyr Sled and Samoyed dog, find out why the sled dog was called Samoyed.
- Dog sled training.
Fascinating dog sled riding on a specially prepared track in the forest. Art objects, lighting on the track. The length of the route is 2 km.
In winter, a tourist can be a curler and independently control a team or a "passenger" sitting in sleds in front.
If you decide to be a kayur and drive a team, then the shoes should be comfortable and without heels, since you will need to stand behind on the sled.
- After a picnic lunch in a real warm plague.
On the menu: traditional Karelian dish - ear, mushroom, wickets, pickles, warming drinks without restrictions.
Additional services if desired: horse riding, snowmobile riding with an instructor, motorcycle dog riding (paid additionally on the spot).
