Thai New Year

The journey begins in Petrozavodsk, where you need to get to 09:00 on the first day of the program. We recommend train No018 Moscow – Petrozavodsk (21:05-8:55) and No017 Petrozavodsk – Moscow (21:00-8:53). We are ready to help with the purchase of tickets, if necessary, leave a comment in the application.

The order of passage of marshutes can vary depending on the weather.

Day 1 New Year's Eve

You will be met at the Petrozavodsk station and taken to the guest house located in the village of Matrossy. You will stay in the rooms and have breakfast.

Then you will ski to the forest lake, where you will participate in ice fishing. Lunch-picnic will take place in nature. Then you will return to the guest house, where you will rest and have dinner.

In the New Year’s race on December 31 – January 3 on the way back to the guest house you will choose a New Year’s tree in the forest. Before dinner, you will find a master class in the manufacture of Christmas toys. Then you all decorate the Christmas tree together and prepare for the New Year. At 23:00 a festive banquet with entertainment program will begin.

Day 2 Dog Sledding

In the morning after breakfast you will have an excursion to the sled dogs kennel. You will learn about the features of the nature of various breeds: husky, Chukchi sled, Alaskan Malamutes. Then you will ride on dog sleds through the snow-covered Karelian forest. After skating for you will be organized a hot lunch in the plague or wooden hut with traditional dishes of Karelian cuisine.

Closer to the evening, a master class on Karelian decorative and applied art will be held in the guest house. You will try to make a traditional bracelet or candlestick yourself. Then you'll have dinner and rest.

Day 3 Ski Walk in the Forest

After breakfast you will be instructed, pick up equipment and go for a ski walk. On the route, you will have a hot picnic lunch in the forest, and then you will return to the guest house.

In the evening, a gastronomic master class on the preparation of specialty dishes of Karelian cuisine will be held, and the dinner will be held in a grill-gazebo with tasting of Karelian tinctures.

In the Christmas race on January 5-8, this evening you will have a festive dinner.

Day 4 Excursion program

The final day of the program will be devoted to exploring the natural and historical sights of Karelia. First, you will climb to the observation deck on Mount Sampo and hear an ancient local legend associated with this rock.

Then you will visit the first Russian resort "Martial Waters", founded by Peter I on the basis of glandular mineral springs. Lunch will be held in a cafe near the waterfall Kivach - one of the largest plain waterfalls in Europe.

At 18:00 you will be taken to Petrozavodsk, you will have dinner in the restaurant (paid extra), and then go to the station to the evening train.
