After an interesting sightseeing tour you will make a trip to the National Museum of the Republic of Karelia. The museum is one of the oldest museum institutions in the North-West of Russia. After breakfast you will take a trip out of town.

Undoubtedly, the most outstanding "attraction" of Karelia is its nature and pure, crystal air! We will have the opportunity to spend a day in the pristine bosom of Karelian nature, but with all the usual comfort and coziness of the XXI century.

You will find a welcome tea from a samovar with Karelian pastries, and then an entertainment program that will give you the opportunity to travel back in time to the past and participate in the Pioneer Parade.

Day 3:

Free day to rest. If desired, you can spend a day on your own or book an excursion for an additional fee.

Excursion to Ruskeal Mountain Park (booked when buying a tour, paid on the spot). Cost: adults - 3000 rubles, schoolchildren - 2800 rubles.

Departure by comfortable bus to Western Karelia (290 km).

Visit to the Ruskeala Mountain Park.

These are former royal quarries. Marble mining was started here in 1769 by decree of Catherine II to decorate the famous buildings of St. Petersburg: the Marble Palace, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the Mariinsky Palace, etc. The most popular place to visit with guests and residents of Karelia!

Departure for the excursion program:

Inspection of the exposed part of the crater Vulcan Girvas. Scientists are sure that this is the oldest surviving crater on earth.

Visit the Kivach Falls - one of the largest plain waterfalls in Europe. You will also visit the Museum of Nature and Arboretum, the decoration and pride of which are the famous Karelian birch trees. Karelian birch is a tree to which nature gave the amazing beauty of wood, resembling marble in its pattern. Even in the XXI century. among scientists there is a debate about the origin of this amazing tree!

A visit to the fish shop of a Karelian farmer who has been growing rainbow trout for more than 20 years, the fish has unique taste qualities, which is facilitated by the ecological purity of the reservoirs of Karelia. Karelian fish and caviar will be the best gift from Karelia on the family table.

Transfer to Petrozavodsk to the railway station approximately by 17:30 h.
