The Rostov Circus building was built in 1957 instead of the merchant Mashonkin circus destroyed during the war, according to the project of architects Alexander Barulin and Arkady Petrov. The circus hall is designed for 1490 seats.
The circus has a rich history. On his arena more than once performed eminent artists from the dynasties of Durov, Kyo, Zapashny. The audience applauded the famous clowns throughout the country Oleg Popov and Pencil and other masters of various circus genres.
