About the company:

The history of the Rostov State Puppet Theater began in the 20s of the last century, when a group of talented puppeteers, including M. Kushnarenko, N. Smirnov, A. Dora and many others, worked with such success that the local branch of the Komsomol regional committee decided to create a full-fledged puppet theater.

For the first time, the doors of the theater were opened to the audience in 1935, and since then, more than one generation of residents of Rostov-on-Don and neighboring districts have grown up on its performances, which have always been very popular.

At different times, the puppet theater was led by many famous directors, among whom was a student of Stanislavsky - Boris Sakhnovsky, a student of Meyerhold - Leonid Stelmakhovich, and a student of Obraztsov - Vladimir Bylkov.

The repertoire of the theater is based on the best classical literary works from around the world. In each performance, moral and moral aspects are touched upon, a dialogue is conducted with young spectators.
