Show me on the map

Description:

The temple was built in 1904 by the project of the famous architect V.V. Popov on the site of a wooden cemetery chapel of the XIX century. The church is small in size, has a cozy atmosphere and original architecture. To the northern part of the building was added the Throne in the name of Prince Alexander Nevsky.

During the Great Patriotic War, Romanian soldiers who were Orthodox believers were buried in the church. In the postwar years, the temple was partially reconstructed. In the 90s of the XX century there was a new revival of the Church of Alexandria.

Today, the temple is awarded the title of a monument of Russian Orthodox architecture and it is under state protection. There is a Sunday school at the temple.
