Fountain in 1 May Park

The fountain in the park named after 1 May is one of the oldest in Rostov. The fountain was built in 1910 and in pre-war times was considered the most beautiful in the city. In the summer, goldfish lived in the fountain.

After a long pause, now the fountain is working again, although not with the same efficiency and beauty. Since the park is located right on the site where the fortress of Dmitry Rostov was previously located, there is an underground passage under the fountain. Previously, it was possible to go down to the Don, but at the moment the course is flooded with groundwater.
