St. George's Church. Church of St. George the Victorious

Russia, Rostov-on-Don, Communist Avenue, 38.

Description:

The parish of the St. George Church was founded in 1993 on the initiative of the Cossacks from the village of St. George. Initially, the temple was located in a temporary building that was not related to church life, and over the following years it was actively rebuilt.

Since 2003, a capital project for the construction of the main building of the temple has been launched. In 2007, active work was carried out on the design of the room - paintings of the altar and vaults of the church were made with images in the Old Russian style, the walls and vaults of the building were covered with stucco.

Currently, the parish of St. George’s Church houses a children’s Sunday school, a parish library, a youth club and the St. George Orthodox Sisterhood.
