344029, Russia, Rostov-on-Don, 29 Sholokhov Avenue, N. Ostrovsky Park, Solar Station

Description:

Park them. Ostrovsky is located in the northeast of the city of Rostov-on-Don. The park is one of the largest in the city. One of the outstanding attractions of this place is the children's railway, which has its own history of creation and further existence.

The idea of creating a railway belonged to schoolchildren from the circle of young railway workers in 1936. A few years later, the dream of schoolchildren was realized and the railway route was laid around the Balabanovskaya grove, and the grand opening was held in November 1940. During the war, part of the road was destroyed and property was evacuated to Tbilisi. After the war, the Rostov government began its restoration.

Today, along the way, the locomotive, along with the carriages of the children's railway, stop at the stations of Victory, named after Viti Cherevichkin, and, most importantly, Solar.

The children’s railway in Rostov is famous for its model traditions. Today, at the station Solnechnaya, exhibitions of railway modeling are held, where the works of children from children's circles are presented.

The main characters of the road are children. Guided children are happy to imitate adults, responsibly doing their work. And for children-passengers, a trip on the railway turns out to be a bright, memorable event and causes a storm of positive emotions.
