Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov

Sholokhov Museum is located on the territory of the estate, where the writer lived and worked on his works. The museum exhibits thousands of exhibits, many of which are authentic works of the writer. The museum is the only one in Russia dedicated to Sholokhov and his family.

The territory of the museum covers an area of 38,236 hectares, including various natural monuments, including a 400-year-old oak tree, architectural monuments of the writer’s time and various museum expositions, which present more than 70,000 items related to the writer.

Various expositions present a collection of Sholokhov’s works, information about all periods of his life and objects that belonged to the writer. Also, the museum annually becomes the venue for a literary and folklore festival dedicated to Sholokhov.
