Gorky Park in the city of Rostov-on-Don

The city garden of that time was a resting place for citizens who walked nicely between beautiful flower beds, quietly talking among themselves. A fountain was installed in the center of the garden, which on hot days gave coolness to walkers. By the way, it has survived to this day. On holidays and weekends, orchestras played, attractions for children and adults were arranged. There were also buffets, coffee shops and restaurants.

On the border of two centuries of XIX and XX on the territory of the garden were built a women's gymnasium, Peter's school, beer factory.

During the Great Patriotic War, the park was almost destroyed, but immediately after the victory it was actively restored.

Today Gorky Park is located between Semashko Street and Budennovsky Avenue. Residents and guests of the city will be able to wander along the picturesque alleys, have fun on numerous attractions (wheel view, carousel). Children's playgrounds are organized for children. There are seven fountains in different parts of the park.

Of the monuments, the most interesting are the Flower Girl at the entrance to the park from the street. Big Garden. Near the other entrance (Budenovsky Avenue) there is a sculpture of a merchant-korobeiner. Preserved monuments of the Soviet era: the sculpture of Lenin and the monument of the Great October Revolution.

Every day, local artists and artisans exhibit their works right on the street, their works can not just admire, but also buy the most attractive.

On weekends and holidays, competitions, concerts, festivals, entertainment programs are held at summer venues.
