Show me on the map

Description:

The construction of the building was completed in 1914 for the book publisher Nikolai Paramonov, the son of the famous merchant Elpidifor Paramonov. The project of the mansion was executed by architect Leonid Eberg. In the yard of the house there was a fountain, flower beds were broken and paths with benches were laid.

In the Soviet years, the building suffered two fires, was restored several times, as a result of which a considerable part of its original appearance was lost. Over the years of its existence, the mansion was used as a construction club, a museum, a blood transfusion institute. In the postwar years, the building was transferred to the library of Rostov State University.

Currently, this architectural monument is in disrepair and a decision is made to carry out repairs and reconstruction of the building.
