Rostov-on-Don

The Fast River

Description:

The Bystraya River is the left arm of the Seversky Donets, originates near the village of Lenin, near the city of Morozovsk, Rostov region. The way of the river runs through the plain, but despite this, its current is fast and winding, which is why it received such a name. Fast along the entire length often changes its direction, and in the place where the Rotten River flows into it, it begins to flow in the opposite direction.

On the way to the Seversky Donets, Fast takes into its waters small rivers Sukhoi and Nagornaya. The river takes fuel mainly due to the melting of snow, so often in the summer it is overdried.

The nature of the coast is changing throughout. In the lower reaches there are many eriks and small lakes. In its middle part it has a high right bank and a left floodplain. And near the Potapov farm, the shores are steep and rocky.

Of the former natural vegetation, little has been preserved, almost all along the Quick stretches agricultural land. And in the floodplain of the river grow characteristic forests with a large number of juniper, larch, fir trees, maples, honeysuckle, mulberry.

In the waters of the river Bystroy you can successfully fish, most often local fishermen pull out perch, bream, top, roach.
