The left bank is gentle, there are many small lakes and swamps in it. In the river itself there are more than 40 species of fish: roach, carp, perch, pike, red pepper, bream. On the left side of the Seversky Donets rise floodplain forests rich in mushrooms and berries.

The flow of the river in the Rostov region is slow and calm, up to Donetsk the river is navigable. More than a thousand tributaries flow into the Seversky Donets, these are very small rivers, and quite large rivers.

On the banks of the Donets built many campgrounds and children's camps, where in the summer you can enjoy a great rest and relax, swimming in warm waters and basking in the rays of the soft sun.
