Description:

The Old Believer Church of the Intercession, otherwise the Old Believer Church in the name of the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God, was built in 1913 at the expense of the famous Rostov merchant N.I. Panin. The temple was erected on the northern side of Kankrinskaya Street (now Ulyanovskaya Street) according to the project of the architect with the iconic name Pokrovsky.

The church is a one-storey elongated room with an altar and a prayer hall. In the design of the temple were used elements of ancient Russian architecture, so it looks organically against the background of other city buildings.

Currently, the Old Believer Pokrovskaya Church is a valuable architectural monument, the only surviving large-scale construction of Old Believer culture in the Don region.
