Big Sadovaya is the central street of Rostov, one of the oldest and most beautiful streets of the city. There are various architectural monuments, cultural and administrative institutions.
The street was first mentioned in 1781, but for a long time it was a place where massacres, a nursing home, a horse market and garbage were taken. Later, the street was planted with gardens, from which it got its current name. However, over time, the street became central, with running water and tramways.
Today, the street is a place where you can see numerous architectural monuments of the city, including the City House, where the city hall, Chernov House, the state bank, the Musical Theatre and many others are located.
