Manor of M.A.Sholokhov

The museum-reserve in Sholokhov’s estate is the only one in Russia dedicated to the writer. The museum complex includes the writer’s estate itself, a mill complex and buildings of the Cossacks of the XX century. The expositions of the museum are devoted to childhood, youth, mature years and the work of the writer.

Also in the museum there are numerous manuscripts, letters and works of the writer. Visitors can see the restored architectural complexes and natural monuments with a total area of 38,236 hectares. The museum contains things that the writer used during hunting and fishing - several cars and fishing rods. Also on the estate are the graves of the writer and his wife.
