Description:

Voroshilov Bridge is one of the attractions of the city of Rostov-on-Don. It connects the two banks of the Don. It was built in the 60s of the last century. One of the first bridges on which joint bonding technology was applied. According to the idea of the authors of the project Kuznetsova (engineer) and Kleiman (architect), normal bolts and welding were not used during its construction.

The bridge is a continuation of the highway that connects the cities of the Rostov region Azov and Bataysk. It is also the main transport artery by which you can reach the left bank of the Don, which is the main and favorite resting place of Rostov residents. There are tourist centers, rest houses, bars and restaurants.

Today, the bridge is not fully functional, as in October 2007 during a scheduled inspection, a crack was found. No more than one bus is allowed on the bridge at the same time. The authorities of Rostov-on-Don promise that by 2016 the bridge will be restored, and the number of stripes on it will be increased. It is expected that this will be achieved by the construction of a new bridge, which will not look different from the old one.
